Clients who regularly pay with credit cards will be glad to know that we have implemented a real-time payment solution.
Although cards will still need to be verified, we now store many of the card’s details on our system and simply require you to provide the card number and its security code. This means that you can top-up your balance, in real-time, 24/7/365.
The SMS Inbox interface has been upgraded, eliminating unnecessary page loads:
- We’ve introduced “endless scrolling” so that older messages are loaded to the bottom of the page as you near the bottom, so you no longer to navigate through pages to see old messages.
- Each SMS now has its own “archive” button and clicking on it will cause the SMS to disappear into the archives without requiring a new page load.
- A new link “show event log” has been added which shows you the log of handling events associated with SMS (without needing to ‘view message’ as before).
We’ve also introduce a new event called “Auto-Archive” intended for customers who use email to read their MO SMS or who have applications which handle their MO SMS. If you are such a customer, Auto-Archive will protect your SMS Inbox from getting cluttered with these messages as they’ve already been read elsewhere.
Over the past 10-odd days, a handful of customers have had sporadic issues that relate to MT SMS bound for France. Whilst we thought these issues were isolated, we have now come to learn that they are not and we would like to explain what’s gone on and what we’re doing about it.
As many of you will already know, we are currently using a single connection to France as a way of keeping our France rates competitive. However, whilst this connection has proved its reliability in the past, these past 2 weeks have shown an unacceptably low level of reliability and we are abandoning it without further delay to ensure that our reputation for delivering reliably does not become tarnished.
This means that client should expect the cost of delivery to France to increase in the very near future and we’re announcing this beforehand to reduce the impact of the change. Although the price will end up being the same as most of our competitors, the increase itself will be significant and, as a result, we will – most likely – introduce an alternative option (which does not support originator customisation) for those of our clients who are price sensitive.
